Our natural environment, and particularly our unique Sydney bushland, is under pressure on many fronts. As a specialist bush regeneration company we work to acheive the best possible environmental outcomes within the frameworks of budget, competing land uses, and other community needs. We provide a high quality of on ground bush regeneration and ecological restoration work, technical environmental assessments and valid and practical advice to clients. Our staff are highly trained and qualified employees with 17 of our 25 staff having over 2 years experience within our company. We have a culture of hard work and are commited to achieving the best possible outcome for both the environment and the client.
Hills Bushcare began out of a community bushcare group in the Sydney Hills District in the 1990’s under the leadership of Ann Parkes. Ann saw the bush degrading around her and after seeing the results of what could be acheived by a dedicated group of people. She started offering bush regeneration sub contracting services to local councils.
After a long and distinguished career Ann retired in 2008, and the company is now run by Frank Gasparre. Frank has a background in Local Government bushland management, moving on to roles in Catchment Management and then a term of 8 years as a Head Teacher at Ryde TAFE. Frank now works full time supporting the company in a technical and managerial role.
Our staff have grown from a team of mostly part time casual workers in 2008, to a complement of 25 staff working a minimum of 5 days per week. We offer above award conditions to our staff and pride ourselves on the minimal turnover of our most valued asset.
